LET'S DO CHARITY IN 3D!
So, for a couple of days now, I've been getting messages in my inbox concerning HATRi's projects which I recently uploaded. Here's a typical example such messages:
"Bro. Good morning. I'm so happy with ur acts of generosity. But I beg u to please read Mt. 6: 1 - 4 for it us extremely important that you read n abide by it for God's blessings n so as not to be seen as disobeying Him"
Here's been my responses so far:
I perfectly understand from what angle you are coming from. Of a truth,
the scripture says that when we render help or acts of kindness and
charitable deeds, we must not do it to earn the praise of men.
But I make haste to add that MOTIVE is key and very important in every of our actions in life as Christians. I have never, will never, and did not make this publication for vainglory sake, neither was it for the purpose of getting the praise of men or their approval, but rather to spur people and lit up the candle of kindness in their heart that will in turn set the whole of humanity on fire! And I tell you, it's been lighting up hearts and people are stepping out to impact Humanity. Am sure our heavenly father is pleased. For He is the one that sees the heart and not our physical outlook.
Strange as this may sound, my intention was not to be rewarded either by God or even man. Am just doing what gives me joy. It's about the satisfaction I get from my passion; from doing what I love to do. For me, that's the reward I ever wanted. Until we go out of our ways to do things without expecting anything in return, either in this world or in the one to come, we haven't started being like Christ yet.
I also would want to add that we run an NGO (Heart of a Tender Rose Initiative {HATRi}) and it's on its platform that we do all our projects. And as you know, NGOs depends solely on donations and contributions from individuals. Most of our donors are friends from Facebook. Uploading these pictures is a subtle way of telling them: "see what you have made us achieve through your kind donations".
And someone asked: why not post these pictures on HATRi and remove yourself from the whole picture?
My answer: there are a lot of people who setup nonprofits for the sole purpose of defrauding people. Overtime, individuals have developed a mistrust for NGOs. A lot of people will donate to encourage your course because you are personally involved.
Final notes: I want to sincerely thank those who out of a pure heart want to correct what they perceived to be wrong. And to those who will see you walk on water and still say: " it's because he cannot swim", I wish you well.
I also do not have energy for many legalistic Christians. If you are not comfortable with my Christian walk or with the way I conduct my affairs, kindly use the delete button. Thank you.
