THE LEGALLY BLUNT !

One of those days when I got lost in my reveries, my subject of interest was hell and the notion of pain. I was just wondering: hell is such a horrible place to be; the pain and affliction is unbearable. The Bible tells us that originally, hell was not designed for human beings but for Satan and his demons. Peradventure, that explains why it is such a horrible place for it was custom made for Satan and demons who are supernatural beings (permit me to use that description). I was just wondering why Satan did not make an attempt to douse the tensions and pain in hell with all his power and influence? Why did he not at least make hell somewhat bearably for himself and his demons and his teaming followers? I will not say that demons love the hell experience, for am yet to see any being who glories in pain. Even stones and irons tremble at the sight of intense heat and man-made fire.

In the days when kings reigned, their words were fire and brimstone. They held the power of life and death and their judgments were final whether good or bad. Appeals lay only to God. They were ten thousand times more powerful than Barack Obama or any other present day monarch you can think of. It was during these gloomy days in history that we had prophets who without fear or favour delivered the word of God undiluted. They were not afraid to lose their lives in defense of the Word of God, His name and integrity. They were the “ Truth Defenders ”. Some names that fall in this league are: Elijah, Elisha, Samuel, Nathan, just to mention a few.

My elder sister Ijeoma is my best friend. We've been through a lot together. Though some years apart, we grew up like twins. Growing up, she was my guardian Angel and defender; I was a delicate child. During our university days, she was a mother away from home. We shared the same housing facility. Ijey (as we fondly call her) got married after graduation, when she became pregnant, we were all overjoyed on the prospect of being uncles and grandmother. The first is 1 Pet 3:3 which reads, “Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel…” The second and very similar verse is 1 Tim 2:9 that says, “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array…” But are these scriptures forbidding the use of jewelry by Christians?

Someone once asked "If Eternal security is Biblical – Does it mean that one can Sin with impunity?" The doctrine of eternal security that once a person accepts Jesus Christ as his savior, he never can be lost. The 'once saved, forever saved' doctrine allows people to commit every sin conceivable under the sun without suffering any consequences for their actions and complete lack of godly living. The doctrine of eternal security in my mind therefore means that anyone can Sin with impunity thereafter. This is the single reason why a youth pastor will be cohabiting with a women he is not legally married to and yet have the audacity to mount the alter and minister in the name of the Lord. Whatever happened to “shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound?!

On this beautiful Saturday morning, as I lounge around the premises, I couldn't help noticing the presence of different species of insects around my balcony. What in God's name is happening here? My little plant is in full bloom. I was amazed that this little plant had been here all along and I hadn't seen any insect on it. Mother nature has all the answers to my puzzle. The insects were attracted from far and near-it seems-by the scents of the flower of the plant.

On Saturday, the 5 th of July, 2014, it rained heavily in the city of Abuja, the Capital of Nigerian in West Africa. The rain started around 3:15 or thereabout. Nnamdi, my friend was driving in the rain that day. There was this heavy traffic build-up, and being impatient, my guy tried to 'shunt', but he met the nightmare of his life. His car hung with the two back tires dangling freely in the air. He was trapped in such an unfavorable condition for what seemed like eternity. Helplessly, he waited but help was far from coming his way.

Let me state it here very clearly that I do not advocate for, neither do I support homosexuality in any form. As a Christian, homosexuality goes against everything I believe and stand for.  That haven been said, let me now go into the business of the day. Yes, if indeed you think that homosexuality is the worst sin, then, I’d advice that you think again. You see, it amazes me how we are very quick to judge and condemn others. I think it gives some of us a sense of achievement and satisfaction. If not, I wonder what right a corrupt politician, material obsessed pastor, a thief, an armed robber, a promiscuous male or female will have in condemning another person because he/she is gay or lesbian.

*I stumbled on this article on facebook, I feel it will bless a soul... In 2012 ,I was invited to be a member of a panel at a Christian singles conference. After speaking about living a purposeful life, and remaining pure in singleness, the topic of marriage invariably came up. A woman stood up and started pouring out her heart about how she desired a husband. How she was in her late thirties and did not want to be alone anymore. She said that she was on the verge of ‘settling’!

This will be someone's story in no distant time, in Jesus name. Those that have written you off will celebrate you. The same people that have said degrading things about you will swallow their words. Pursue your passion with all diligence, for it is in your place of service that all of your life's questions will be answered. Never allow others talk you down. The worst thing that can ever happen to any human is to live in other people's shadows. Its the worst form of slavery. Protect with all diligence, that which you hold close to your heart!!! Every time I read this screen-shot message, I can't but wonder! Where did these people get this idea from? Even human judges will tell us in clear terms that God forbid it, that the law should aid illegality . Talk more of God Who is a just and righteous Judge. He is not a respecter of persons.  "Some men of God are doing the wrong things, but have access to God. If they report you to God you are finished" .   Seriously? For me, this is a belief from the pit of Hell. Unfortunately, It has spread like wild fire in Christendom. A teaching, or shall I say a doctrine that has made fools out of super-intelligent people. Some of them even hold Doctorate degrees in Laws and Philosophy! In my opinion, such teaching or belief system is aimed at keeping Christians in a position of psychological slavery. It creates a  conducive atmosphere for the man of God to to according to his whims. A true pastor is answerable to God and MUST be accountable to his congregation....

A 21-year-old student of the Department of History and International Relations, Redeemer’s University, RCCG Camp, Ogun State, Tolani Ajayi has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command for killing his father on Tuesday, July 3rd, PMNews reports. The body of Barrister Charles Ajayi, 60, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was found at a nearby bush at Canaanland Street at the Redeemed Christian Church of God Camp, Km 46 Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

LIKE SERIOUSLY? For the love of God, what is this? In this 21st century? Wait first, Must you kiss? If you are too holy to show affection as Husband and Wife in public, I really think you guys should have left this show of shame for behind-close-doors. If this is how you both will carry-on after here, I very much doubt the possibility of the consummation of this union. Friends, How in God's name will this couple procreate and replenish the earth? If am asked to describe this picture in a single phrase, I'll simply scream: "MOCKERY OF A KISS"!!! If asked, how would you describe it?

Present happenings points to the fact that the end is here! The quest to know the unknown has been with man from creation. Here's the end result of an inquisitive mind. If you aren't sure of your status in heaven's records, all you need do is consult this ''So-called' pastor, I presume he works as an intern in heaven's record-room. lol!!! (if not, how will he have access to such classified info?). With N3000, you can actually know your fate before the Great White Throne Judgement. But wait, are people that dumb? So, in my Christian chat group, someone asked: can couples who are virgins watch pornography to learn the art of sex? I immediately took a stand on this issue which I later flogged myself over. I considered my opinions and manner of delivery to have rather been brash, and presumptuous. The position I took killed the topic on arrival, as no other person made further useful contribution on the subject. It was my desire to make right, my wrongs that spurred me into researching into this topic. Read what I found, by Mark Chamberlain, PhD , after the cut. I just was wondering, Rolls Royce and Toyota automobiles are both cars. It takes 6months of hard work to build a Rolls Royce, but just 13hours to build Toyota Cars. Elephants and Rats are both mammals.  Elephant's gestation period is 22months; they carry their young in the womb for nearly two years before giving birth. And they give birth to only one calf at five year intervals. Can you beat that? But wait,  have you seen a baby elephant? it's worth the 22months and even more... On the other hand, a rat's gestation period is just 21days, at most 23 days and it births up to 14 pinkies or even more... A rat becomes sexually mature and active from  its fifth week of existence but an elephant becomes sexually mature between 8-10 years but will not start mating until its 20th birthday. Isn't that amazing?

On Sunday, The 15th day of June, 2014 all around the world, we celebrated fathers' day. Fathers graced several DPs, gift items flew around, fathers took over church services in several churches and special events were hosted in honour of the men we call Fathers! But among all these pious looking men on fathers' day are Child sexual abusers, wife beaters, alcoholics, etc... The fact that you have something dangling between your legs doesn't qualify you a man. In the same vein, just getting a woman pregnant does  not cloth you with the status and dignity of fatherhood, for if it does, my dog Caesar, would have been the world's most celebrated dad of all times!

I just was wondering why the above statement became such a big hit in the social media following the First Lady's reactions on the Chibok girls saga.  Does it have anything to do with the personality that made the utterance? or has it anything to do with the way and manner it was said? Am asking these questions because, here in Nigeria, the phrase 'there is God' is common place. In fact, it has become a cliché among Christians. We often make statements like: 'There is a God that rules in the affairs of men', 'I tell you, if you try me, you'll know that I serve a living God',  'friend, in all you do, just know that there is God', etc. Granted, our First Lady may not have the gift of the garb. She may not have been proficient in her communication skills, but assuredly, she has a lot of strength and courage to her credit. If you ask me, I'll tell you that she is a very wise woman too. Yes, quit looking around,  I am the one asking the question. And for clarity sake, I shall ask again, has heaven gone bankrupt?  My question stems from the recent happenings in our churches. The fact that the church of God has metamorphosed from a house of prayer and worship into a place of trade, money laundering, money doubling and a den of thieves and armed robbers, all in the name of seed sowing and ministry. To put it mildly, our churches are now branded 'sow seed ministry' . Anywhere you turn, the song is the same; sow seed! 

I think the picture above depicts what God had in mind when He handed down the law as contained in Deuteronomy 22:5 " The woman shall not wear that which partaineth unto a man,    neither shall a man put on a woman's garment; for all that do so (are)    abomination unto the Lord they God" KJV Growing up, we were raised in a watertight, strict, rigid, uncompromising, and unyielding conservative Christian home. Matter of 'factly', I was a Deeper Life Bible Church breed. Then, Television was a sin, football and every other gaming activities were carnal . My back has telltale signs of serious floggings for having to be caught sneaking into our neighbor's house to watch 'Tales by moonlight'.  Now, television has been removed from the list of sinful properties to own, as Sister Helen (my mother) now has one that graces her sitting room. LOL!!!

Is this dude mad? How in God's name can we do that? This 'badt' guys have been in business since the history of human existence. They are older than our forth Ancestors. The Big question now is, how can we run them out of business? Follow me closely and find out how. You see, evil thrives in the dark. Every negative stuff has its origin in the secret and we intend it to remain that way. It is this conscious effort to keep things in the dark perpetually that the blackmailer uses against us. Then I asked myself, was Jesus the founder of Christianity? If no, what was His religion during His earthly ministry? Do you have an idea? From my findings, here's what I found. Jesus Christ was born of a Jewish mother and raised by Joseph, His earthly father in Galilee, a Jewish part of the world. He regularly worshiped in Jewish communal worship centers called synagogues. The gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) were filled with instances where He preached from Jewish Scrolls (The Bible) in the synagogues. He celebrated the Jewish festivals. Jesus Christ went on pilgrimage to the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem . Recall when He was missing as a child for three days and was found in the synagogue teaching the elders and priests? Contrary to the erroneous belief  tha...

It was one of those boring days in the office, tired sick of them law reports and legal books. For a change, I plunged into the internet. I was surfing the net, then suddenly something caught my attention on Facebook. On a friend's wall was the pictures of Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. These Hollywood's sweet hearts where being rated according to their accomplishments. The Author of the post stated that Jay-Z has won 17 Grammy Awards, Beyonce, 17 Grammy Awards, Kanye West, 21 Grammy Awards  and for my darling Kim Kardashian, she only has a sex tape to her credit.

So, someone asked me, why do church leaders find it very easy to discipline and suspend a member overtaken by a sin. Particularly when it has to do with the sin of fornication? Are not all sins equal before God? I feel it depends on the personality of the individual involved. In my considered view, it is my opinion that when the person caught up in the sin is a regular church member, the church must be very careful dealing with that issue. Because, our actions or inaction might either draw that individual closer to God or further push the person away to the waiting arms of the devil. On the other hand, when the individual involved in the sin, say the sin of fornication or adultery is a minister, it is biblical for the leadership of the church  to take action and employ measures to address  that situation. This is so because, high standards are required from people in places of authority in the body of Christ. They are the beacon and search lights that others follow. ...
