YOU’VE BEEN BRIBED!
What do you call success? How do you rate success? A lot of us are confused about the subject of success. We often allow society to tell us what success is, according to its standards.
Success in my opinion is subjective – what amounts to
success to Mr. A might not be the same with Mr. B. If we understand this, there
will be no need for rivalry and unhealthy competition. We will each discover
that we are each voyagers with our individual custom made destinations.
Now, away from success and what it means to us
individually, what if at the close of the day, when life is over, you get to
meet with your creator and after showing you your mandate and assignment on
earth, you discover that you were a huge failure, a colossal damage to
yourself, humanity and earth and the desire for a second chance to relive life
consumes your whole being?
What if you discovered, but too late that you were busy
running another man’s race. What if all the exotic cars, nice neighborhood, fame,
red carpet and paparazzi were just a bribe to derail you from your main purpose
and calling? What if all these goodies were all bribes because the enemy of
your mission does how powerful you are and how resolute you can get when you
are not in your comfort zone?
Some of us are working in organizations and
establishments where our monthly take homes are in their millions, with exotic
cars and vacations abroad. What if all these were a grand plot to make life so
comfortable for you so that your inner longings and passions are eternally silenced
and sacrificed on the altar of the satisfaction of the now?
What if we’ve been bribed with all the seeming luxuries
of the now?
I’m I against the good life? No! A million times No!
I am a firm believer in the good life here. We must each
live the good life even as we find pleasure doing those things that brings us
happiness and satisfaction. What I am saying is that we must be very careful
not to run with a photocopy of our life’s calling all through life with the belief
that it is the original. No matter how good and perfect a photocopy looks, it
can never be compared with the original. The original is the real deal! It is
worth the sacrifices!
The gratification of the now is nothing compared to the
satisfaction of the future. Don’t eat today the provision for your tomorrow’s
satisfaction! Have you been bribed?

Awesome!!!
