PRAISING THROUGH THE STORM
For a young man living in this city without mobility, trust me, it can be pretty challenging...
So, I decked up for Monday in my #JesusShowBoy Signature.#lol
At the Bus-stop, I noticed the cloud gathering, and so heavy was the gathering... I rebuked the rain, when I did not seem to be seeing immediate result, I switched off and started praying in the Spirit. A bus came and I entered. I continued praying. This time, that the rain should stop before I get to my bus-stop (the thought of getting wet in a suit on an early Monday morning was scary).
But guess what? Instead of the rain stopping, it increased. I had no choice but to alight at my bus-stop. In a moment, before I could catch a taxi to Wuse 2, I was already wet. I was messed up and unhappy, but I quickly put myself together, even as I remembered the Theme of the Month - Take The Lead with JOY (@ HOTR REFUGE) together with the teaching yesterday in Church, I started singing: "MY HALLELUYAH BELONGS TO YOU BECAUSE YOU DESERVE IT" I couldn't imagine giving my circumstances or the weather-condition the privilege to decide my mood!
*It is important to note the following:
(1) Sometimes when we pray concerning a storm in our life, God does not take them away, but He gives us the needed grace and strength to go through that storm and emerge stronger.
(2) I believe that God places more premium on the praises of His Children more than he does that of the Angels. You know why?Angels don't go through storms, they don't worry about what to eat or wear. They don't face rent issues, School fees, hospital bills, sicknesses and lack. They only know abundance. Their praise exude from the standpoint of perfection.
(3) If you only praise God when things are all good and working out as planned, I'm sorry, your praise may be of little value or all together worthless. Praising Him in the midst of that turmoil and through that storm is like a costly ointment poured on the feet of our Lord and Master. It has great value!
